Prevention of Avian Influenza

In view of the recent cases of Avian Influenza (H7N9 virus) in mainland China, The National Health and Family Planning Commission announced on 23 April 2013 that a total of 108 H7N9 cases have been reported including 22 that have ended in death. The latest case has been confirmed in Shandong while the others in Shanghai, Anhui, Zhejiang, Henan, Beijing and Jiangsu.

Although the World Heath Organization (WHO) expresses that there is no evidence of human-to-human transmission so far, the Group has taken the initiative to follow and deploy the guidelines given by the Department of Health in Hong Kong (you may get the details by clicking the below link) . All colleagues are asked to pay special attention to personal and environment hygiene and avoid direct touching with poultry or their droppings.
